2020/21 Yannick Bolasie

He would do it to make himself attractive to other clubs. If he wants to play then these are the things a player of his subpar quality will need to do.

Posting on social media ‘12th man tonight’ is beyond pathetic for a supposedly fit professional footballer.

Right, but you are aware that a club would be in touch long before through an agent etc so he'd be aware if there was interest. The club would then ask him to terminate etc if they couldn't agree a deal or knew they wouldn't be able to with Everton.

If you had a job where you knew there was no progression, then you wouldn't leave unless you had another job lined up, would you?

Why are you trying to compare a job that the average person has to someone with a short career and millions already in the bank?

"he's a nice guy" & " he had a bad injury Abar 7 years ago" couldn't care less if he was the soundest feller in the world he's on Abar 80k and the only contribution he brings to this club is making sh1t videos on social media.

Don't dislike the feller but I am absolutely sick to death of seeing his name

Fair play to Carlo, it seems he’s being straight up with players who he doesn’t think are up to the new standard. I hope Bolasie finds a club like Fulham where he can show what he’s still got, and stays with them After they’re relegated to the championship.

Yeah you sound like you really like the lad :coffee:

because, like you point out, it's an incredibly short career.

he's not going to cut his nose off to spite his face UNLESS a club is in for him. Expecting anyone to is odd.

Mad to think some people reckon he should just leave without any fuss. He’s on a good wage here that the club decided to pay him and he had an injury that basically ruined his career. He’s not an Everton fan. If it was any one of us on the books at Leicester or whoever then we’d stay for as long as possible too, no one seems to really want him and he’d have to take an unnecessarily huge paycut to play somewhere else.

Unless a good offer came in financially (for him, not us) he’s not gonna leave, it is his livelihood after all. I think he’ll stay here this year, I actually think he’ll end up getting some minutes too because other options like Walcott and Iwobi are arguably not better than him and are also sellable.

This is the Niasse situation all over again where the player isn’t good enough for us but he’s being professional and works hard. It’s just one of them. In the next year or 2 all remnants of Koeman and Walsh will be gone from this club but until then we just have to put up with things like this.

Yep, our fault for giving him the contract, and don't blame him for staying. This ain't a Rodwell at Sunderland situation

Any chance of getting rid of this dud next week? Haven’t seen him linked anywhere.

Barely matters. Any club we'd send him out to wouldn't be able to afford his wages and his contract expires next summer.

So whether he stays or goes, it really doesn't matter.
