But then Mirallas is an upgrade on Cleverley, and he's already at the club. Just about anyone is an upgrade on him though, Deulofeu and Lennon on the left would be as well, Cleverley only played there because our previous manager rimmed him

I've also never rated Bolasie but realise that I know zip about player recruitment when compared to Koeman and Walsh. I'll do what everyone should do, support a newly signed Everton (if/when it happens) player and hope that our backroom staff's faith in him is justified.

The other poster was being mocked because of his exaggerated response of being 'disgusted' at the club for spending this much money on a player. It's an OTT post and as a result opens itself to jibing.

A consistent winger would cost millions and wouldn't even look at us. Koeman believes he can get more out of him. He got the skill. It's all about having a better manager and better players around him.
Plus it's not your money and 30 million is the new 15 million now everything is double now.

Payer cost 12m a year ago... He is 10 times the player... You cannot honestly believe that for 30m you couldn't find a winger that scores more than 5 goals a year? Shopping in the prem is pointless...

At the moment the vision driving player recruitment is mostly koemans, we can't properly judge whether its successful or not until we actually start witnessing it in action. Some signings may be primarily squad players to be used as and when he requires. Signing top quality players to sit on the bench and you could just end up with a bunch of moping primadonnas
