that semi final last season is a perfect example mate. I'm still not sure what goes through managers minds when making decisions. Moyes done the same thing on Saturday. Gets Sunderland into a great position and then takes off his only striker with a good 14 minutes left and replaces him with a defender and they have no out ball. Suddenly City's defence push up an additional 15 yards and it's just a matter of time before Sunderland were punished.

You have Bolasie up top and suddenly a backline is weary of pushing thoseb15 yards forward due to the counter and in turn that relieves the pressure on the rest of the side.

Another thing and dunno if it's psycological etc, but having a player still busting a gut and running at the opposition gives a bit to every one else as well and they give that little bit extra for longer, bit like having a bit of a snide gettign stuck in seems to make everyone else fight that bit more.

It was a trademark of Moyes to allow his team to sit deeper though and just try to absorb, always preferred still having 'some' threat on the pitch as IMO anyway it pays off more than it doesn't

Either way Bolasie whilst not 'marquee' is someone who will add a lot to us this season (and probably frustrate the hell out of us sometimes as well - but who doesn't)

Leats with Koeman's decisions on Saturday they basically was because he had no other options - and don't think he's the type to like to be in that situation - so deffo expect him to fill out the squad with 3-4 player swho suit his style of play and what he wants out of players

agreed. it's not a signing for the sake of signing someone, there's a reason for wanting him and I'm hopeful he's going to be a useful addition. Hopefully we get him in and he hits the ground running away on Saturday. Always good when your attacking players either get off the mark early or grab an assist or 2 and settle down quickly.

Well, he said he would be replaced by someone who scores goals and also that the team doesnt score with him in it....

That wasn't a slight on Bolasie though. He actually just said it was the same problems last year - that they were toothless - hence why he's willing to pay for Benteke...

Aye think we could really do a number on West Brom this weekend if everything clicks, be interesting how we set up with Lukaku, Williams and hoopefully Bolasie all available

I'm continually amazed that Arsenal don't go for Lukaku. He'd be a perfect fit for them, and I think he'd do really well there.

Wonder if they might bid for him on deadline day if things aren't going their way by then?

I don't think he is a Wenger type player at all. His power and pace would fit on the counter but they like to play quick passes I and around the box as opposed to using the channels or indeed just lumping it isn't the box

Arsenal will never sign Lukaku mate. He has a price tag of 75 million! Arsenal wouldn't offer much more than 30...

Chelsea might offer up to 65 million?

A good post. The key point for Bolasie will be consistency. I have watched him play against us more than once and he was the best player on the park by some distance. He was a constant threat last year at our place.

There is obviously a dip in performances too. His challenge will be to be more consistent.

We've probably overcharged them too many times! Wenger might be interested at 40 million But not 65 plus.
