Which probably shows why none of us are managing footy teams mate.

Btw I point you to his stats from two seasons ago, 4 goals, 11 assists in 34 games, is that really a bad return at a team like palace with no striker better than championship level?

...apparently his stats playing more central are very impressive. I suspect his role with us might be hybrid winger/striker.

Could be brilliant signing this

Could also go the other way though. Dangerous in his own way but unless Koeman is planning to overhaul the way Everton play (and go a lot more direct), I don't really see him as the best fit for you. He's not the most technically gifted of footballer. The fee is ridiculous, but it's silly season across the whole Premier League at the moment.

Basically a bit like he used Mane at Saints then really, and like he's trying to get Delofeu to learn how to play as well.

The fee is silly, as are all fees currently, but that's not the lad's fault.

He may be decent - Idrissa Gana Gueye was good at the weekend and no-one was clamouring for him to be signed either.

I feel he should be given a chance, as players can often play differently under different managers.

Definitely underwhelming, but now that he's a blue I'm happy to give him half a season or so. Doubt he will be Niasse levels of turbogash which may have to be enough to be honest.

Unshamedly lifted from the Guardian - the view of a Palace fan on Yannick...

"For those who say he's "inconsistent and not worth the money" I would say it all depends on what you want out of football.

If its purely and only a results business, and stats such as assists and goals are the be-all-and-end-all for you then his fee would seem over inflated.

However I have had the pleasure of watching him at Palace for the last four years, and he brings something that isn't so easy to quantify - namely fun, excitement and entertainment.

He may not produce the stats that today's Championship Manager PC players rate, but he plays with a smile on his face and quicksilver in his boots, and I for one will miss him.

Good luck Yala."

£25m for a smile ffs
