Dont forget mate the player he's likely to replace/compete for a place with, Mirallas. He's not my favourite player but he unquestionably has good stats in his time here. That's what we need to compare.
Del and miralles are really going to have to 'up' their game with yannick signing. I can see his signing bringing the best out of the other two. It's called competition, we need it all over the pitch though, if we want to go to the next level.

He had a front row seat at Crystanbul.

Forever grateful.

Thing is Dave, how many games per season will Mirallas or Deulofeu for example be out with a knock (or in Kevs case a red card suspension), if the plan is to have two pacey wingers - then you need 3 of them at around the same level as each other - for my own opinion Lennon is not good enough or really suited to the way koeman likes to play.

Bolasie is a known commodity - you know what your getting and thats a very dangerous but inconsistant player who on his day is unplayable and a match winner (and how many of ours can we say that about in all honesty?) - IF Koeman thinks he can iron out that inconsitancy then yeah he will be worth every bit of the fee - and wierd as it sounds - 25m now and for the forseeable future is not going to be regarded as a massive fee anymore.

Born in France, raised in England, plays for... Congo?
Not that there's anything wrong with Congo mind, but he could be playing with some top players when on international duty. Seems an odd choice.

Regardless, hope he's fit enough for this weekend. I can't say I've ever made a point to look at his performances but seems like he might be good for us and make some competition for places.

Dave doesn't rate him, this puts me at ease and makes me think he's gonna be boss.
A lot of talk about pushing the squad and making competition, kind of suggests we just paid 25m for a player most of us rate as a bench warmer. Hope he puts us all in our place and is awesome.
