Born in France, raised in England, plays for... Congo?
Not that there's anything wrong with Congo mind, but he could be playing with some top players when on international duty. Seems an odd choice.

Regardless, hope he's fit enough for this weekend. I can't say I've ever made a point to look at his performances but seems like he might be good for us and make some competition for places.

probably a family thing, like if you had kids in france you'd probs prefer them to play for England even though England are gash

are there constantly reliable wingers because everytime i hear any winger mentioned the word inconsistent is employed. Obviously there are differing degrees of inconsistencies, but that seems to the most common criticism of winger even over a striker's performance is consistent?

Can we now finish with Joe Hart, Wilfried Bony and Hakim Ziyech or Sofiane Boufal ?

Anyone know (ignoring stats, I mean from an actual watching him play kind of knowledge.. ) if he is any good? Or if he is just quick and another Lennon, Wright Philips, Walcott type

Really looking forward to him starting against WBA. Del has showed glimpses of excitement in his time but am expecting much more from Bolasie. Get in...

Less technique than Lennon, but quicker and more direct. Better than Wright-Phillips ever was. Walcott is a weird one as I don't know what he does - I don't think Wenger does either.

He's not terrible, but in a normal market he'd be a £12m-ish punt. I actually think Everton fans in general will love him, just because he's so quick and powerful and combines that with a work ethic. But I think he'll frustrate more often than impress.

He's a better left wing option than anything we currently have, but surely there's others in world football for that price who would be twice as good as Bolasie, so comparing him to donkeys like Mirallas and Niasse is irrelevant.

LOL, really. Must try harder Tubez

I've read that Bolasie declined playing in the 2013 African Cup of Nations in order to work on his club form. Hopefully he does the same for us this season. With Bolasie, Gueye, and maybe the new Kone as well, we could be really thin in January and February.

Personally, I think Bolasie is a modest improvement over what we have at that position and will definitely improve Everton. Do I think he's worth £25-£30 million? Hell no. I feel like we're a bit panicked due to previous offers falling through and the window closing soon. I'm hoping that we don't blow through too much money during this window so we'll have some left when a truly world-class player is available (and actually wants to join us).

It's a delicate line to walk. If he we don't overspend now, we may not improve on the pitch and won't be able to draw bigger names next summer. On the other hand, our funds aren't unlimited and there are still at least 5 or 6 teams with more money than us. That means that we have to continue to spend our money wisely if we want to compete for a top 4 spot.

Regardless, he's an Everton player now and should provide a needed spark. Can't wait to see how he fits with the rest of the club.

he's better technically than Lennon mate and miles stronger as well, in a normal markety he'd be worth a 12m punt would suggest in this super inflated market you think he's actually worth the fee we are paying then?

Be interested who you think for that price we could attract that would be twice as good as him though?
