Yannick Bolasie

Well yes, if I sold a house in Kensington, London and spent the same amount buying a house in Kensignton, Liverpool it wouldn't be a good deal. Selling the most wanted young defender in Europe (despite his faults) and replacing him with a player at the end of his career and a "inconsistent" winger, neither of whom have any resale value is the problem.

How would you suggest we force a player who is dead set on leaving to stay, remain happy, and keep performing? We all knew he was going, not like it's a major shock!

So what are people expecting from a £25m attacker?

I won't set a goal and assist target as I'm told there is far more to this player than mere technicalities like being able to kick a ball of air between two sticks or successfully deliver it to team mates.

So my target for Yannick is to become a regular part of a first team that wins lots of matches.

Do that and I'll be happy.

One thing we know Bolasie can succeed at is to cause chaos on the opponent's back line. That chaos will disrupt their defensive structure and create openings, either for Bolasie himself or his teammates. My #1 hope for Bolasie is that he has enough vision and passing ability to exploit those holes he creates. I could care less if he scores a ton of goals if he's opening things up for others.

He's in the shirt he's got my full support. This team needed some stylish dribbling anyway amirite.

Assuming Rom stays, would you play Bolasie over both Del and Mirallas on the wing...I wouldn't - that's why I find it such an odd signing. A lot of money for someone who in my opinion isn't first choice automatically. Of course I'll support him and hope he lights it up but we are dying for a number 10 and signed another winger...

Jay from Inbetweeners not his biggest fan!

In fairness to the lad (I'm not a massive fan of his) but thats a reasonable summation. We are hoping we get the "numbers" he had towards the end of his Palace career and kick on another level. I think we'd be wanting 15 goals and assists per season from him. He has the ability to deliver that and more.

Left wing was a bigger priority than number 10.
