My work ethic today was greatly diminished due to humming YANNICK YANNICK BOLASIE RUNS DOWN THE WING FOR ME pretty much all day
He's a headless chicken until conclusively proven otherwise.
Let's reconvene the debate in 6 months and see if you're still crowing about this fellers genius.
We can do that, but it isn't helped by *some* using two games worth of decent play as proof of anything at all.Why cant we discuss what we have already seen David?
Surely hes impressed you?
Hes done alright I think, some bad things and some very good game winning things.

Trends are al important, and when we look at that then all we have to go on is the comments of palace supporters (who know him well better than us) who saw him as a player with little end product and one they were clicking their heels at getting some mugs to throw £25M at them for.

Au contraire: Naismith. I never changed my mind that he was one of the most comical footballers ever to wear an Everton jersey, but I did recognise he was a good player to have about for the odd poacher's goal and his fighting spirit in stark contrast to the bunch of tanking jellyfish he shared a dressing room with.Only thing is Dave, is that any "conclusive proof" you'll just dismiss, you've already made your mind up about him. We all know you're not one to change your mind on any subject ever, even when presented with factual evidence.
How can we do that? We dont live in a vacuum. We know his play and form at Palace, which is why most here were horrified at his signing.Right and the Villa fans told us Gana was terrible, Saints fans told us that we wouldnt get Koeman.
Ignore fans from other teams, they matter less than Damo.
But I suppose we ignored all the Wigan fans who told us Martinez was out his depth and didnt know what the word defence meant.............
Anyway, every player we sign comes with a clean slate, judge him on what he does for Everton and so far hes done well IMO, what say thee?

As said, he has the chance to right that perception over time.

Because the only solid data we have is the only thing we can go on. We have a workable generalization that's been built up via the large number of Palace appearances. That theory can be falsified though, so I dont have a closed mind on him. For instance, his change in environment can make a difference.I balked at the price but I'm beginning to realize that we might be able to trust our manager to see the bigger picture. Villa fans were hardly distraught that we bought Gueye. Koeman has seen something in Bolasie and so far I have no reason to doubt his judgement.
Put it this way, you're holding off on giving him the thumbs up untill a prolonged amount of games. Why not start from current form and wait for a bad run to give him the thumbs down.
It's clear that the whole squad need to be evaluated on their form under Koeman and not what went before.
