Yannick Bolasie

He doesnt look up before he crosses and just pings it into areas where someone may be.

Which is exactly why he's so dangerous Zat.

That's when you need a player gambling on getting there - none of our players did today.

Look at the cross to Rom last week as a prime example of it working perfectly.

Del gets too obsessed with putting the ball on a pin point. He's at his best when he just whips them in.

Think it's a bit harsh to be jumping on Bolasie today considering he's been putting chances on a plate since his arrival. Yes it's what you expect from a big money signing but he wasn't the one who dictated his fee, he's going to blow hot and cold a lot during the season but that's pretty normal for wingers anyway. What we have to make sure of is when Bolasie is laying on the chances we have the lads finishing them off.

If anything today has only shown that beyond our first choices the squad is badly in need of quality.

Seriously, you prefer wingers who dont look up and end up putting in crosses which are nowhere near our players than those aiming for pinpoint accuracy?

Personally I would smash him onto the running track in the first 5 minutes. Then again just after. Be worth a yellow.

I'm surprised no one has done that to him. Surely opposition defenders know he will roll the ball with his foot and would just go through him and win the ball at the same time?

The football equivalent of doing this.

I really hope that was a tactic from the manager and not his natural way of playing because that'll be a nightmare for us away from home.

You can't afford to surrender possession so easily in even games.

Its really bizarre. I cant think of anyone of our former players who just runs with their head down and then randomly crosses without looking up.
