The only good player we have to finish what he creates his Rom. That's why those two have combined for more goals than any other 2 players in the league this season. I'd call that productive.

His ball for Barkley earlier in the season comes to mind. It was a killer cross but Ross missed a sitter of a header. Thus no assist. Maybe if we had more than 1 player who could score we would see more of his crosses producing goals, but as it stands, he's been doing his job.

I take all that on board mate, but throughout his whole career, he is never going to be the player we all want/hope him to be. He's a fine player on his day, but you could say that about a majority of Prem players, most of them, on their day are capable of great games. The thing that sets average players and very good players apart is consistency. As his stats show he's never going to be consistent.

When does a cross become a killer cross? For me, a 'killer cross' would result in a goal. A cross is only as good as the player attacking it. He's made 96 appearances in the Prem and has 16 assists. People saying he needs to improve his final ball, that's something we would be saying about a young lad just making his way into the team, Not someone who's 27 with 96 Prem games under his belt who we payed stupid money for. He doesn't score enough because his shooting is dreadful. Out of them 96 Games he's had 188 shots, 63 of which were on target. A shooting accuracy of 34%.
He's now playing in a better side, and also playing with one of the best strikers in the Prem, so his assist stats should improve. You can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear though.

i dont care about his record pre-everton. his record since joining us is good and would be a lot better if we had consistent strikers. hes been our best attacking player by a mile this season. the rest need to up their games big time but i think its too late for most and they'll be shipped out in the summer.

Mirallas MkII.

Another inconsistent performer.

We need a Perisic class player. In fact, I'd have taken Schurrle way before Bolaise.

lol

Schurrle and Perisic! I'd have taken Messi myself.

Shurrle is playing for Borussia Dortmund and Perisic for Inter Milan. Doubt either would have been temped by 11th placed Everton and that's why we had to go for players like Bolasie instead.

Bolasie has done well since being here, as stated by other posters, he can only create the chances. If he doesn't get an assist because the likes of Barkley can't head the ball in the net from 6 yards out then that's hardly his fault is it?

I think he's boss but not quite the quality we need if we're going to push for top four.

That's where we want to be though and that's the quality we need. If you don't think he's of that quality, how do you think he's boss? If he's not good enough for the top 4, he shouldn't be good enough for us because that is our aim. Or has the bar been lowered from the start of the season?

he's definitely good enough for the squad. had we brought in the attackers we wanted to bring in alongside him, we could well have been aiming for that. We'll see what january brings, need to keep in touch for the next few months.

Jimmy Bullard was boss but he wouldn't have been a Champions League player.

yeah, ok mate. Bullard was boss, not because if his Talent but because he was character. Good comeback.

I never said anything about this. Particularly at Fulham, he raised that teams level, scored belter goals and was an all-round midfielder. His performances were often really good. But he ws never a good enough player to play consistently in the upper echelons.
