Losing a player who was our main provider for chances and assists is a massive loss. Regardless if he looks like a muppet with the ball sometimes, every game he's played he's the one who looks like he can provide something.

Hope he comes back and gets through what will be a mentally tough period in his career, regardless if he ever hits those heights with us or not. Horrible injury at a tough time when he was still trying to make an impression with his team mates and fanbase

Everton's Yannick Bolasie damaged his right knee in a challenge with Manchester United's Anthony Martial
Everton winger Yannick Bolasie could be out for a year with a knee injury, says manager Ronald Koeman.

Bolasie, 27, injured his right knee during the Toffees' 1-1 draw with Manchester United on 4 December.

Dutch manager Koeman said on Wednesday: "It will be around 11-12 months before he is back. That is a big disappointment but he will come back."

Bolasie is due to have a second operation - on his anterior cruciate ligament - in the coming weeks.

More to follow.

leading assister, leading chance creator. Just saying

Gotta find a better way of playing without him though
It makes me wonder how he would have been impacted by the additions of Valencia/DCL and Davies/McCarthy into the first team. Our main problem when Bolasie was playing was the hoofing which probably had more to do with Barry being in the side.

I wish him a successful and swift recovery from an awful injury.

It could be argued that his injury has enabled a total reshuffle of the midfield due to his outlet being taken away and Barry being exposed.

The emergence of a more energetic and creative midfield could benefit us more in the long run.
