£25 m does seem excessive, I don't watch much of palace, but I do remember their fans and Pardew putting their woeful form down to him being injured in the second part of last season, also it was said that Koeman couldn't believe how unbalanced our squad was. All left back and right wingers was the term used. So left sided power and pave makes sense, if we are playing counter attack he will be ideal, it's just the price.

Not best pleased with the amount talked about but I have faith that Koeman can bring out the best in him over the next few years.

If he can then theres no excuse for Barkley to be on Zidane levels of class under him

The rest of our wingers didn't. And still delivered on par or better than him.

Theres no justification for him to be our record transfer.

He was injured for about 4 months last season mate, if those stats were in reference to last season.

But you've also got to consider how palace set up. He was their most productive player despite his low looking stats.

Minutes played is the important stat here not games played which counts coming on in the 90th minute as a a game played
