2017/18 Yannick Bolasie

He was our most productive player before his injury mate. Granted that might not be the highest praise but he’s already proven that he can be effective. A big problem at the time was Koeman instructing our players to just hoof the ball to him.

The biggest problem now is Allardyce putting too much on him too soon while Lookman and Vlasic are picking the splinters out of their respective gluteals.
Last season only turned around once he was forced out of the side through injury.

Like I said in my post though, Koeman was instructing the team to play hoofball to Bolasie. When he was injured he was forced to have the team actually play football again. That isn’t Bolasie’s fault, it’s Koeman’s. I’m pretty sure he still would have been effective in a team playing to feet rather than lobbing balls forwards all game.

Well. We're back to square one under Sam aren't we? And we're not about to find out if your second point is true!

I agree with the part about Koeman. He seemed to want to use Bolasie as he did Long at Southampton.

Not convinced that Bolasie would suit a footballing side, though. I really do think that he's garbage.

Not been to GP much this season how has he looked since coming back in terms of his pace? Does it look like the injury has done him in or has he still got that burst of pace?

He took some harsh abuse yesterday in the ground , some people have already forgotten he’s only just come back from 14 months our injured . There are some whoppers who follow everton away .

Our problems are far bigger than Bolasie .

What does it say when FC sexy xxx talks more sense than most of the posters on here.

Get off Bolasie's back, how many players who've been out for over 12 months are going to be ripping defences apart as soon as they return to action ? I'm sure there's some improvement to come, give him a bit of time at least.

He's been badly rushed back and looks heavy. You seen it with Lallana against us as well it's like they are running in treacle, it's not just about being fit it's about having match sharpness and being able to put the injury behind you.

Bolasie is in a similar situation to Siggy when it comes to where he fits in here. We've signed him without having the right players around him to get the best form possible.

A number of you must've literally been waiting the full 13 months on pins and needles ready to rip into the guy the moment he stepped back into the fold....

He will be better when everyone playing with him decides to up their game.

Diagnosis: Arouna Kone Syndrome.

He's getting better with every game. He's had to endure 90 minutes in most games and it will be affecting him in the short term. Overall, he hasn't been too bad but he's bound to be feeling it at the moment. I think its fair to begin judgement this Saturday, let him have a chance to bed in.
