Confirmed Signing Yerry Mina

Everton and Manchester United target Yerry Mina missed Barcelona training this morning, reporter Vinny O'Connor has just confirmed to Sky Sports News.

The Colombian defender, who scored three goals from centre-back at the World Cup, is being chased by both clubs - so his absence will increase speculation over his future even more.
That's from Sky Sports News.

Suppose it comes down to whether they've given up on Maguire/Alderweireld/Boateng or not. If they haven't, he's ours.

Personally, I'll be surprised if he doesn't end up an Everton player by the end of the window now.

Spurs have a one year extension clause with Toby. They haven't activated it yet but they can, which gives them 2 years left with him.

They may well have an option to extend, but even if that's the case, the fact that it's not part of his existing contract would presumably mean the player himself would have some say on whether any extention was activated too. A want away player would not be happy to sign another years extention.

Any possible level of transfer fee obtainable now will primarily be dictated by the amount of time left on his current contract.

Man U want a name until they get whoever it is Mina is sitting tight to see if they come back for him as a fallback. This could all kick off today/tonight.

if the extensions activated before the window closes utd would only have to bid £25 mill and sppurs would have no choice but to sell.....
it's effectively a way of guaranteeing the player doesnt leave for free, he either signs a new deal, is sold for more than 25 mill, or runs his contract down, extension is triggered and spurs are guaranteed £25 mill as per releasse clause

Think that's when the £25m buy out clause kicks in. Once they activate the extension. But if they don't activate the extension he goes for nothing. That's why they are trying to cash in on him now because he wouldn't sign a new deal with them.
