So let me get this right, Barca payed about 10m for him in January and despite them thinking he’s turd, has tripped in value.

Ontop of that goal.com thinks Barca have a buyback clause in the deal?

Get lost, we would we buy a 30m player and have Barca just take him back. Can’t see it.

All depends on how much we get the player for, if the deal is

Get the player on a 5 year deal
they have upto 2 seasons to buy him back
but its double the price that we pay be it 15m then buy back is 30, if 30 buy back 60 etc

or just not get the player at all? which would you choose?

If we value the players potential it doesn’t really make sense for us to accept a buy back clause either, especially in today’s market.

Barca won’t be buying back at double I’m pretty sure of that, and they have already proven with Gerry, they will just recall the player if he’s flopped or not and use us as a glorified long term loan.

The Mina deal reminds me a bit of my relationship with ebay. As in, if i see something that looks good (Mina in the world cup). I want it, i then go to bid and realise multiple people want the same item (Lyon & Wolves). Next minute I have agreed to pay double the price of what it was originally worth, just because I dont want to lose out on the item (Mina). So, in essence, I hope we don't go all out or this guy, who's very unproven and pay a stupid fee just to beat Lyon, Wolves etc.

It would be incredibly Everton to do it. For that reason I can well see it happening...

When we buy a young player, the point of buying young is suppose to be for us to enjoy him in his prime or sell him for a shed load at a later date, not for someone else to reap the rewards.

We'll probably put a bid in of £30m, have it accepted. Then re-bid £35m in order to remain in pole-position.

Then end up paying 40m just to be sure.
