There are always excuses for our players and managers.

No. We have invested to be challenging the top 6.

We currently have no top 6 players. Thats why we are many miles from it. Stop making excuses. Digne and Richarlison have the potential
to become top 6 players but there are major question marks about them.

We wont see the best out of Mina until the current fellas gone and we get in a manager who can defend. Like Martinez its too easy to pick defenders and the GK apart when the system is obviously at fault for alot of the calamities at the back (especially from set pieces)

Disagree. They were both excellent prem defenders when fit and not too old. They would have been able to perform effectively with anyone.
 
Looks like Zooms will return to Chelsea in the summer. With Cahill’s contract up in the summer also, what do blues fans think of him as a replacement? Yes I realise he’s probably mid 30’s and seen better days, but alongside Mina for a season....
 

Mina, Zouma, Keane, Digne and possibly Holgate are all good defenders who could really benefit from someone who's capable of telling them the right thing to do. We can spend all the money in the world on defenders but it will be pointless unless we know what to do with them.
 
Think the ghost of Kroldrup is colouring a lot of opinion on this guy. The constant injuries when he's being photo'd in training coupled with the less than stellar appearances for us and Barcelona have made a lot of blues a little jumpy.
Personally, I think he'll need a leader next to him, Lascelles would be the one for me.
