He’s mostly been solid when he’s played though, not been perfect but he’s a South American centre back who’s played about 30 games since he come to Europe, mistakes will happen but chances are they’ll get less and less frequent

Can see why people would say he’s been a bad signing (so far) because of the constant injuries but not because of how he’s actually performed

Yeh, he's been absolutely fine - in the main - when he's played.

He needs a proper preseason and he'll be fine. Evertonians - love to write people off, and always, always, have to have something to moan about.

He's been decent enough I guess, its his fitness and decision making that's scary. But ye hopefully like a new signing next year.

What bad decisions has he made though?

He's no more rash than Zouma. They're both aggressive, front-foot defenders. They both operate better with Keane next to them because Keane is more conservative.

Think if we sign Zouma this summer he'll be off myself.

He left Barca due to a lack of 1st team football so he wont be sticking about here without it.

He won't be going anywhere.

Let's assume Jags is off, and Holgate comes back and yeh we sign Zouma.

That leaves us with 4 CBs, one who has played more at RB and has been out on loan.

Why in the world would we sell a player we spent all summer chasing and have tied down on a 5-year deal. He's totally happy here.

Genuinely, stop imagining issues.

You mean like everybody did with Keane?

:hayee::hayee::hayee:

Early days yet, but my initial thoughts are hes 1 utter donkey, plenty of time for that to change like.
More like they still do with Siggy, but yeah.

Anyine its a bit lame when the club are sponsored by a betting platform

Total quality, this lad has no limit to the headroom of his talent, has it all.

Just needs honing and maturing.

Potential that can be seen from outer space.

Hopefully we somehow manage to do Barca and keep him.

Played well when he has been fit. Plenty of time to come on.

People seem to forget how well he played against Chelsea at Goodison. He was unlucky to get injured with Colombia after that, and that's actually why Zouma ended up getting a sure run for so long.
He's done well in most games he's played, City and Millwall being the exception. His injury record is definitely a concern, though. If we lose Zouma, can we rely on Mina to stay fit for a full season?

"Do barca"...dont follow?

Fully rested with a full pre-season and having had some time to get used to English football, I fully expect big things from him next season.

Excellent in the away game against Chelsea too, MOTM if I recall. Played the 90 minutes at Anfield too where we looked solid. He’s had no problem at all settling into the Premier League and only injuries have disrupted him, but people want to use 45 minutes on a potato patch against Millwall as the standard to hold him to.

He's been lucky in my eyes to escape cards on numerous occasions. The fact that all I remember from his first season is his Digne piledriver is a bad sign. He may come good though.
