I'm still confused when this foot injury occurred. He was training with Barcelona, got transferred here, took a week to show up and got injured before he even started training?

He did mate. As soon as his extended summer break was over, he was pictured with a yellow bib on training at Barcelona. This was literally days away from the close of our window which wetted a few sheets on here as people jumped to conclusions thinking the deal wasn’t happening..

Can't link it mate as the thread is closed, but there is a photo of him back in training with Barca on P157 of the Mina transfer rumour thread.
Also, if you recall, there was a mini stampede on here when, the following day, he wasn't training with the squad. Everyone thought he must be on a plane to Liverpool. But then they tweeted on their website that he and another player were training separately as they were at lower fitness levels than the rest of the squad having only just returned.
