The lad was injured when we bought him and I doubt he was ever totally 100% all season. Played in the Copa America, he’ll now get a rest and come back fully fit for the remainder of the pre-season. I’m expecting a much improved Mina this season.

Playing in the Copa America might set him back again. Knocked out yesterday and preseason starts around next week? He'll likely get an extra week or 2 off but it's nowhere near ideal given his fitness problems last season.

I wouldn't expect fireworks anytime soon.

Yeah.

Like he's only going to be effective against grock teams that pump the ball up to the big guy all the time. Didn't he make the Brazilian league team of the year both seasons he played in it. Last time I looked the Brazilian league wasn't full of grock teams., Admittedly the standard wouldn't be as high, but I guarantee he'd have been playing against young nippy speedsters every single game.

The biggest plus with Mina is his goal threat. I think if he plays a full season he scores between 5-8 goals. He is a Sigurdsson wet dream so I hope he gets a run.
