there's no way he will come back into the first team and dislodge keane and holgate as first choice pairing imo
Keane has looked really solid the last couple of games, and I would definitely play him against Leicester and Spurs as we will likely defend quite deep. However, against teams where we play a higher line I think Mina has better powers of recovery and is better on the ball than Keane. I like the idea that we have different players that are better suited to different systems as it gives us lots of options.

Keane is brilliant if you don’t play a highline mate. Carlos recent tactics have suited him down to the ground.

Totally agree with the latest comments in here.
He tried to make things happen by stepping into midfield and pushing forward and always looks to move the impetus up field with his passing hardly ever goes backwards or sideways impressed last night with the fight from him and Gordon too.

I thought he and Keane played really well last night. Some good blocks, and kept Kane really quiet. Defence isn't our problem.
He brought some tempo as well when bringing the ball out which is obviously crucial.

As I said last night, this squad is what it is and we went to Spurs and lost out to a deflected goal. It's no catastrophe and shouldn't be a surprise. There are bits in there that Carlo can work with and one of them is definitely Yerry Mina.

If you take the midfield out of yesterday we do ok. We defend well and as you say it's a lucky goal. 0-0 would have been fairer. But we just create nothing from midfield, and our defense has to repel attacks because they don't break up play.

Our forwards exist on scraps and worked hard.
