Did well today against some propper brutes up front....good lad Yerry. As did Holgate tbf...both acquitted themselves very well. Not ready to say congrats to Carlo, it was a very much Everton under Duncan performance but three very very important points !!!! Up and at em !!!

Will get better and better if he stays fit.
I also believe he is a natural leader and helps lift players around him.

Our delivery is partly to blame for this. Corners have been abysmal all season.

He’s missed some sitters. No two ways about it. Had two from point blank against Leicester alone.

You can't be vindicating your judgement of a centre half based on a game against Burnley at home surely? Mina's Everton career so far has been okay, exactly the same way I'd describe his performance today. I'm sure he has ambitions of playing at a far higher level than this. Very long journey for him to go on for him to reach those heights.

I say what I see: a CB who's getting credit he didn't earn. My points on him are specific: needs to get more distance on his clearances out of the box; needs to be more aware of danger around him...remember the Bournemouth catastrophe.

He needs just Holgate next to him, they need to ride through the good and bad games together with chopping and changing. Do people forget how important partnerships are in a back line?

We had that a few times last season and it was rubbish.
Reality is we need 2 CBs as Mina is terrible, none of the three we have are good enough.

I think Holgate is very good and will be superb eventually.

....I presume you have changed you mind after telling me our back four ‘are perfect’ in August. I think you also said something along the lines of us not buying a CB because ‘we don’t need one’. I suppose we’re all entitled to change our mind.

I’ve always been consistent in my view about Keane being poor, but I actually quite like Mina. He has something about him and I think he’d be fine with the right partner. i could well be wrong, of course.

The lad has improved so much in the past twelve months. The more he plays in England, the better he's going to get.

Everton don't half do well out of Barca rejects.

Not 100% convinced as yet.

He isn´t as bad as the other clown alongside him but my word have we fallen since the days of Jagielka and Lescott. I think it´s a huge part of why we´ve struggled so much this year. We will always struggle to grind games out with him and Keane at centre half.

Keane is the weakest link by far.

Keane has had phases where he looked like he sorted himself out but he's in tragic form right now. We have to pray Holgate and Mina don't get any injuries.

A great player shouldn't need the right player next to him...

I don't hate him, I am finding him fairly average so far though.

Hmmm. Think you are very wrong. Not too many awful players in the PL but it is about blend. Thats why Fergie achieved similar results with brilliant players and mediocre ones. He just put the right ones together.
