2020/21 Yerry Mina

This is the issue. So in that sense, we might need someone who can come in and can stay fit.

But still not sure CB is an area of priority - considering all the other areas of priority there unfortunately are.
I love Yerry, seems a top bloke and has the ability, just a shame he's another Colombian glass man, if we can get a CB at his level who has a great injury record then get him and sell Keane

Do think he has his limitations and obviously he's not a top class, elite CB, but they're aren't many of them around.

His record in the team in the league this season.

He's played 24 games, 23 of them starts. We've won 14 of them, lost 5, drawn 5.

I don't think we will get anybody any better than him to be honest do I'd rather get someone with a bit of pace at a similar level to him, make the new signing our starter with mina and have Godfrey as the rotation. Sell holgate and possibly Keane

Keane/Godfrey and Keane/Holgate just shipped five in the worst performance of the season.

The only other times we've conceded more than 2 in a league game, I'm pretty sure Mina hasn't played. The one rarity is the mad Spurs cup game.

His issue is fitness.

Proper mad take this.

Millwall in the cup. One of the worst centre halve display in long time . He is Bambi on ice and hardly ever fit

Proper baffling how the one defender who didn't play yesterday is the one getting stick?

Keane was horrific and at fault for two goals.

Godfrey all over the shop at left centre-back and Holgate similarly dismal at both right-back and centre-half.

Theres something weird about some Everton fans and Michael Keane. They’ll happily trash Mina Godfrey of Holgate yet cannot see that Keane is a complete carthorse. He’s been absolutely awful recently.

I thought he was very good at the start of the season but once again when things started going badly he caved.

Now, he came good again, but it was when we played on the egde of our own box and he was just able to deal with what was in front of him.

Not to say there weren't some great individual performances from him, like Anfield, but he was abysmal in that Old Trafford game, dreadful on Sunday (they all were), and just looks so easily shaken. He doesn't sense danger, he's such a reactive player.

Thought he did well against Wolves but to me if there was a choice between Keane and Mina it'd have to be the latter, but ultimately he can't keep fit so we do have issues. They just aren't as prevalent as issues further up the pitch.

A likeable bloke...which makes him unusual in our squad (which I term 'a smack': the collective noun for a group of jellyfish).
But he's not a primo CB by any stretch of the imagination.

According to the Echo, Yerri was Everton's best rated outfield player this season:

Yerry Mina 6.68

The only outfield player to top James' tally was his compatriot Yerry Mina. There were low moments - back to back 5s against Newcastle and Fulham, but they were overshadowed by the high points. At one stage of the season Mina recorded three successive 8/10 performances - in big matches, too, against Chelsea, Leicester and Arsenal.
