2020/21 Yerry Mina

If my calculations are right (probs not) I think it's ~59% with and ~35% without.

We lose ~24% of games he plays and ~47% without.

(2020/21 all comps used)

It's an interesting puzzle. He doesn't play enough games to justify the wage and never has, but his presence seems to make a massive difference. You're basically conceding that you need an extra CB (essentially doubling Mina's wage) that you're going to have a hard time keeping happy with his playing time should you keep Mina.

It's a no-brainer if we had an aging Baines-type longtime servant as one of our CBs, but we don't.

Was really good against Argentina on Tues night. Slightly at fault for first headed goal - delivery was sublime but the manager had him instructed that everytime Colombia had a chance to cross, Yerry was to get in the box. He caused havoc.

He put in some running stats.

Great game btw.

The argentine centre half Romero is different mustard.

I wonder if we could buy someone like that on a short deal. Distin was better than I realised, and in our team for the next few years we need some solid dependable players who may not win a lot of games, but will not let us down or make mistakes.
