2020/21 Yerry Mina

Having Holgate and Godfrey as full-back helps the overall defending. We gave away the attacking side but as they are more physical and pacy than Coleman etc, we tend to look more solid at the back. Mina and Keane can concentrate in defending instead of covering the attacking full-back occasionally.

Was listening to the blue room earlier. They said pretty much this. With Godfrey and Holgate as FBs he's much less likely to get isolated like he did for example against Newcastle.

This is true but he’s been quite unfortunate with injuries in the past and hasn’t really had chance to settle with a run of games, you can see how doing so now has helped him.

Hope he can stay injury free and keep it up.

Will always have a clanger in him, but he’s shown he’s also a very good centre half when his head is screwed on and our current system is suiting him.

I think that applies to most of the good sides these days. They don't have a consistent starting back 4 and rotate. We've now got those options.
