Do honestly people think that was good defending for their goal with the attempted block he did from the Creswell shot. Fair enough if you do like but I am expecting much better from him there than the flick of the leg he did to try and stop it. Otherwise like I said in my original post thought he played well.

Yep it was poor from him and its not the first time either. Done it against the rs, yesterday, plus done a woeful clearance against Arsenal which led to the pen and also one of the Southampton goals I'm sure he literally just turned his back.

He has these proper brain fart moments. He's probably playing the best football of his Everton career so far but you know he has a mistake in him for sure.

I think yesterdays was unfortunate. MOre dissappointed with Doucoure for not closing the ball more. The Liverpool one was poorer though, as it was a bad choice.

He's been excellent over the last 6-8 games. He's played a big part in us not conceding.

Harsh criticism for the goal.

He's running across and actually has both feet in the air when Creswell strikes it. Less than half a second later he's got a ball travelling at speed right under him, slightly towards his trailing leg as he's trying to adjust position.

I'd look at Doucore not closing down and turning his back instead as well as Holgate switching off, ball watching and letting his runner score.

Yep, Doucoure was so slow to close down wasn't he. Apart from that mistake he was probably our best midfielder.

As I've said in other posts
Imho he's not good enough.

Doesn't seem to be much thought going into how the midfield presses. For Cavani's goal in the League Cup, Martial dropped deep to pick up possession, and Doucoure charged at their left-back while Davies took up position behind his own back-four.

I don't have a particularly strong opinion on Mina either way, but these limp-legged blocks are infurtiating.

I like him but had kind of written him off. He's been excellent of late though.

As for the midfield, I think mental and physical fatigue was the issue yesterday.

Not really an excuse when they'd had a longer rest period than their opponents, but then I suppose that doesn't make it any less likely to have been the case.
