It's more the shouts of he's our best defender that wind me up. You can't be the best defender in a squad if you are injured twice as often as you are fit.

We can loan from Russia/Ukraine due to a special dispensation from FIFA.
So we could bring in at least 1 player on a 3 month contract without it affecting us financially. Who I don't know but there has to be a better defender in East Europe than what we have.

Id doubt there is much out that way worth looking at tbh, we have just spent a load on Myko and even aside from all thats going on(fair play to him not easy to deal with) he looks woefully short of whats required.
I really doubt anyone playing in Russia or Ukraine, would be able to come in here and make an immediate impact. They haven't been playing football, and the jump in standard is enormous.

How this complete Basket Case of a club came to the conclusion to spunk money on a LB & RB, who EITHER don't impress or play, when it was obvious a CB & CM was an Urgent necessity, is a glaring example of how inept and unfit for purpose the board of this club are !!

I agree but...... We currently have a defence that is failing to defend. The idea that nobody could come in and do a better job doesn't sound too farfetched. Just somebody who knows how to to their job and won't ball watch whilst we concede again.
The difference a competent centre half would make would be the difference between staying up and going down. As it stands, it's not mad to say the defence will relegate us alone.
The answer is in the question mate,' complete basket case of a club'.
I still really doubt there would be anyone good enough playing at that level. And even if there was, how could they be at full fitness
