In the end, it doesn't matter what causes a player to consistently miss games. The injury is irrelevant. It's all about value for money - and a player that's just not on the pitch provides none. Unless it's Tom Davies.

Not sure he has the chops for playing week in week out. Easy to say stuff like that, harder to actually fight. I like him as well. He's our best defender, but being so inconsistent with fitness does not benefit a team. It's like he can't be arsed to be honest.

Knows he’s off in in the summer but still had the minerals to face the fans on is own. Could easily have just kept quite and disappeared until his contract runs down.
Plenty of players in this team would have the guts to do it.
