Yes, the USA really DOES care about the Beautiful Game...

I ran outside onto my patio and started screaming and jumping and whooping. Some neighbors came out to see what was going on. I'm pretty sure they had no clue there was anything special happening and were pretty disturbed by it all.

Americans are like Australians ands POMs. We only care about something we are good at. When things aren't going that great no one cares about that sport, but if you are suddenly world champions at Table Tennis it is the greatest sport ever invented and every 7 year old wants to join the local Table Tennis league.

Hellerad, you in Little Rock? If so where are the crowds gonna be on Saturday? Just wondering. Tired of watching the games in small crowds.

Yep! Vino's has been hosting. We've had a good crowd for Slovenia and I heard it almost doubled for Algeria. Saturday should be packed.

Superb. pmsl with the kid sliding down the stairs on his arse. What a beautiful game it is

probably the funniest thing ive seen in a long time... screaming landon donovan's name, sliding down the stairs and ripping off his shirt LoL

There are tons of videos out there from yesterday's game when Donovan scored, but this one is the best... and I know my fellow Evertonians will appreciate the familiar cheer:)

oh, and the kid at 3min25sec watching at his computer is so f'n funny

Fair play to our American cousin's they've learnt it all from EVERTON :P Just like Donovan and Howard (y)

I was personally very pleased you qualified even pushing us into second place.

As ultimately the prize was qualification to the knockout stage. So it was win win.

Just disappointed the Aussies didn't do it. Although did cheer when Cahill scored...

Well done the Yanks.

Sing when we're winning... ~!

The big question is how full are those bars when the US are not playing?

Footy will have only made it there when peeps are arsed watching a match when it doesn't involve the US.

I think by the influx onto GOT, and by how many have commented how great the think the place is... and our fans...

that they're picking it up as they go along rather well.

As they said, Donovan was improved by Everton. So good luck to em. (y)

I'd imagine the influx to GOT after Donovan signing were all people who were already interested in footy.

So now him scoring and the whole team doing well, and generally increasing interest (y) (him coming back in the winter again) - we'll pick up all the rest too.

(y)

eh? I was talking about general interest in the USA about soccer.

I think wires are crossed. Are you talking about picking up Everton fans from the States?

I'm talking about all the new people being introduced to football over the pond who'll continue to follow after moments like that.

And those will inevitably find there way on here..... its inevitable.
