Young EFC Players Out On Loan 16-17

....yep, saw the club announce that. You have to think he's not in RKs plans, a few cabs ahead of him on the rank. Concern I have is if Galloway also leaves it will leave us with Oviedo.
I wonder this means Galloway doesn't go on loan as has been suggested. ( I saw something from a Newcastle site saying the deal was £1mill loan fee plus his wages of £20 k week, don't know if that's true though. I'd have thought Rafael must be desperate to get him after 2 defeats) .
I won't be too bothered if Galloway does go on loan. Antonee Robinson wasn't highly rated on here recently, but I've still got a lot of time for him, just turned 19 , back after a year out to injury and looks like he's back playing well for the u23s, plus Callum Connolly on the scene . Koeman is rightly concentrating on buying in players to fill weaknesses , but part of his role is to ensure our youngsters are developing too and can cover positions like LB and RB .

....I like Galloway a lot and we need to keep our best players, especially with Baines being a bit fragile. If RK thinks Robinson and/or Connolly are better then they have to be very good.

League Two
Cheltenham Town - Russell Griffiths played full match in 1-1 away draw at Carlisle

OS Match Report

Twitter stuff
10: Wyke is free 6 yards out but he can only head straight at Griffiths - a let off for the Robins! Still 0-0
12: Off the bar! Grainger smacks a long range effort and it comes back off the bar thanks to a fine save from Griffiths. 0-0
43: Great save from Griffiths to deny Wyke! Flinging himself full length to his left to push it away! Somehow @officialcufc haven't scored!
49: Yet again Griffiths denies Wyke with a fine save - pushing his header over the bar

Fan comments
Griffiths: First I have seen of him. Made saves and performed as would expect - 6

Conor Grant was not in match-day squad for Ipswich (slight injury from training) and Conor McAleny was not cleared to play for Wigan.

Championship
Wigan Athletic - Luke Garbutt played full match in 3-4 away defeat at Nottingham Forest

OS Match Report
"Latics were on the back foot and Caldwell brought on Burke for Wildschut and Powell for MacDonald and it paid immediate dividends, Grigg sneaking in at the near post to convert Garbutt’s cross on 65 minutes. What a response. Now it was Latics in the ascendancy.
Burke almost scored his first goal for the club after 68 minutes, another Garbutt run down the left seeing the ball reaching him on the edge of the box and his volley flew just over."
"The answer was an emphatic yes, as he was in the area as Garbutt’s long throw was flicked on – it was difficult to see if he got the touch so crowded was the area, and Grigg slammed home from close range."

Twitter stuff
65' GOAL!! @luke_garbutt's cross deflected high into the air, @WillGrigg heading in from close range at the left post! 2-2!
69' CLOSE!! @luke_garbutt's cross, heading down by @agilbey8 for @lukeburke11 who volleyed narrowly over the top left!
86' GOAL!! @luke_garbutt's throw in flicked on to @WillGrigg who grabs his second of the afternoon! 3-3!
89' CLOSE!! @luke_garbutt beats his man down the left and whips the ball agonisingly across the face of goal!

Fan comments
"Garbutt looked good going forward, very mobile and his deliveries were decent (though not as good defending)."
"Power had a poor game and the new lad Garbutt wasn't much better."

(Former EFC player Velios played 75 minutes for Forest and missed a penalty.)

League Two
Cheltenham Town - Russel Griffiths played full match in 0-1 home defeat to Doncaster Rovers

OS Match Report
"Russell Griffiths was called into his first stop with 11 minutes on the clock to hold Andy Williams’ effort from the edge of the box. The Everton man produced a better stop to prevent the same striker scoring five minutes later, diving to his left to push away his angled effort."

Twitter stuff
16: Great save from Russ Griffiths! Flinging himself full length to deny Williams. Still 0-0
27: The rain is getting heavier as @drfc_official appeal for a penalty-the ref blows his whistle but thankfully it's for a foul on Griffiths
53: Goal! 1-0 to @drfc_official and it's former Robins' player John Marquis who slips the ball past Griffiths!
90+6: Russell Griffiths is up for the throw in!

Fan comments
"Griffiths 7. He's a good keeper. Some good saves and willing to stick his body on the line"
"Griffiths - I like him decent solid keeper didn't have a lot of saves to make but inspires confidence (7)"

Above originally from @Coffee and TV .
and Galloway starting for WBA away to Northampton .
Any idea what position galloway is playing tonight?love to see him get some game time at centre half.[/QUOTE]
He was down as left back , then I saw a comment about him winning a free kick on right wing, maybe he just wandered a bit , but I would say from their line up not CB.

League Cup
West Bromwich Albion - Brendan Galloway started and played 70 minutes before being taken off (injury) in 2-2 away draw with Northampton Town (WBA lost on penalties)

OS Match Report
"It was the hosts who took the lead in the 36th minute. Galloway headed Harry Beautyman's thumping strike off the line and, from the resulting corner, Diamond nodded home from close range."

Pulis on Galloway
"I thought Sam and Brendan were very, very good and Kane, when he came on, did exceptionally well.
"They've got bright futures those lads.
"We're hoping Brendan didn't (pick up a strain), we're hoping it's just cramp. Sam went down with cramp as well."

Twitter stuff

34' BLOCK! Superb headed clearance off the line from debutant Galloway to keep out Beautyman's thumping drive (0-0)

Fan comments
"Can only judge from the radio but a couple of good clearances and getting forward well too. Encouraging."
"Having crossed the half-way line, will never play for us again."
"Galloway also looked like he could defend, which is the key difference to Poco. Looked like cramp."

Cheltenham Town - Russell Griffiths played whole match in 0-2 away defeat to Newcastle United

OS Match Report
"In the 67th minute it took a fantastic save from the feet of Griffiths to keep it at 2-0 when Perez looked destined to hit the back of the net as he was unmarked at the back post from a corner."

Twitter stuff
62: Off the line! Diame beats three players before firing at goal. The ball squirms under Griffiths but O'Shaughnessy is there to clear!

No particular fan comments

Many thanks like always @atrottel good for the development of Griffiths to be starting against Newcastle.

Hoping Galloway was only cramping.
