Your menú for tonight?

Spicy chicken thighs, roast spud, plumb tomato's sweetcorn and carrots.
No idea how spicy I've made the chicken, just got the bottle Louisiana hot sauce and Franks hot sauce and marinaded them in a mixture of both for a few hours, added some spicy dry rub and they are currently in the oven.

I just googled it.

Its mash. The spuds are grown in Idaho. I remain to be convinced anyone but a spud expert could tell the difference if they were grown in my garden.

Us tonight is a picnic.
What's a picnic for you? I have noticed you have some of those almost every week.

That sounds superb. Chicken thighs are underrated. I always get them in Nandos. That franks hot sauce is addictive as well. I'm coming round for tea.

Sounds yummy but what's rump steak?

Rump steak is steak from the cows hind quarters. My fave, T Bone aside.

Its what we have when we (well, Mrs R), cant settle on what we, (she) fancies. So I get stuff you can nibble on all week, takes zero preparation, and you could take on a proper picnic.

So, tonight we have some BBQ chicken wings, some mini chicken satay kebabs, sausage rolls from the freezer, a baquette, cheese, and some continental cold meats. Some coleslaw/mayo if wanted.

Nibble tastic.

Ha, like a tapas kind of concept. Different small food items to eat instead of just one big meal. I like the idea, I need to have more picnics at my house.

Thanks for clarifying.

Ribeye is my favorite cut of meat to put on the grill, or like people in the UK would say to BBQ.

Ribeye is magic. (Is there steak that isnt?)

Trouble is, I have ordered "a slab of rump please" from my local butcher so often, its pretty much cut and wrapped before I get to the counter!

Also, there is always about a 5th of it that we couldnt eat, so freeze that bit till there is enough to make the most fantastic beef stifado.
