Thanks for clarifying.

Ribeye is my favorite cut of meat to put on the grill, or like people in the UK would say to BBQ.
Ribeye is my preferred cut too. Growing up my mum was not a fan of red meat, and my dad would never deviate from fillet done medium rare... Mrs. Tree introduced me to the perfection that is ribeye steak seared blue and I've never looked back.

Then we have something else in common besides the Blues ;) Mrs. Tree knows well. My husband was the one who introduced me to seared ribeye steak, in Colombia people have a tendency to like their steak cook well-done and it totally ruins it.

My gf is half Portuguese and it's the same there. Very thin cuts too.

Although, to me, steak is the most overrated food going.

I tend to agree, but had a bife de chorizo in Buenos Aires once and it was one of the best things I've ever tasted. No idea what they did to it.

I love oysters, not sure if I have had caviar. I love lobster but not had thermador.

Caviar is just very expensive, cos its rare. Only had one lobster, and it was a thermador cos I was in a smashing restaurant in Cape Town and someone else was picking up the tab. It was sensational.

That's exactly how it is in Colombia people like it very thin and cooked all the way, it totally ruins the steak and it makes it more chewy.

I can go weeks without having a steak but there at times that my body just craves the iron and that's when a tasty ribeye comes to mind.
