The latest I see from O Jogo (posted 3 hours ago) is that today (Wednesday) he officially agreed to release from his current contract with Sporting and headed to the U.K. where he will sign for Everton tomorrow (Thursday). Other reports mention the visa issue, so putting it together, I reckon the visa issue extended the delay (after the wage negotiation) and has presumably now been sorted.
