We need a goalscorer and a different option along with it. If the target man routine isn’t working in a match it’s better to have a different type to mix things up, an Andy Johnson or Vardy type quick , plays off the shoulder, can anticipate a pass , mistake or cross quicker.

Sustainabilty is the keyword. Though Ancelotti brought short term "success", it costs money we dont have both in terms of fees and wages. If we made it to CL, it would be another story, but that is a very high-risk gamble which we are still paying for.

The sporting strategy needs to be aligned with real-world finances, and maybe this changes slightly after the new stadium is ready

Contextually success for us this season would be a mid table finish and the next season a mid to top half finish which is very achievable.
