No they don't. The fee negotiations take about a day but sometimes the player contract part takes about up to a week ( before work permits) to complete after terms are agreed especially when you multiple offers have been made.
Or I must be doing it all wrong.

You're not an arse because some times you can speed it up by offering Saudi type wages to low paid players and they accept immediately. Especially when they are some wonder kid in a farmers league.
Always good to chat to a FM afficionado.

Likewise! recently I’ve been targeting young kids on those low wages. Pretty much ruling out anyone from the premiership or championship

He’ll be having Sunday lunch round captain Coleman’s this weekend. However he turns out, hope the club put required effort in to integrate him, not just chuck him in the Titanic, help him find an apartment then leave him to it. Kean obviously had lockdown so it’s very different, but we didn’t do a fantastic job of looking after him. People may rightly say younger lads than these uproot and make their own way without issue, but these aren’t normal humans having come through academies.
