Exactly so the least he can do is run and chase from the front. A teenager who’s cost us a decent fee if/when it’s paid so that makes me expect more from him than if he’s come through the academy, regardless of fee I expect any of our players to at least apply themselves and run.

That might be true (European sides) but this is the premier league. I really hope the lad will come good, but I want to see more effort than I saw yesterday.

Righto how many of those did he get and how many were just hoofs/punts forward so he can "do something"? Considering Beto was having an absolute nightmare of a game - the best we could afford a young forward is 10 min when we're up against it and defending with 10 behind the ball.
