It's a guest they had on whose got half-decent connections at Palace. That's all. They were previewing the Palace game.

As I said, I have no idea how true it is. I've just heard the same story twice (once was on that podcast).

But Ed Aarons reported that and he's 100% on with Palace stuff. So while strange, it seems to have been the case.

Based on what reliable people have said about Iwobi, i could see us going back in with an offer for him (may have done already).

I reckon he's the contingency.

I don't rate him highly, but he can play in three positions - anywhere behind the striker, basically.

If we get him in and Zaha, then he'd predominantly be for midfield. If we sign him and not Zaha, then he can be used both in midfield and out wide.

I'm not saying I'd be thrilled, but that could be logical.
