If that’s the case his agent is a div. any self respecting agent would be in contact with the interested club to make sure they were gonna make another more substantial bid to make it worth handing in a transfer request. You don’t just throw one in hoping that someone will meet CP’s valuation or somewhere near. As a result he’s probably lost his loyalty bonus (or do you only lose that if you are actually sold)

Time will tell if it’s the right decision by palace. The lad wanted to come here and from Hodgson he’s not happy that he wasn’t allowed to leave. Palace will see it as a coup that they’ve kept their best player, but keeping a disgruntled player doesn’t always bode well e.g Arnautovic when he didn’t get his move to China last January.
