Parish played us well tbf to him.

It will hurt palace badly in future though. No decent prospects be going near them.

It will backfire on them when they don´t get a bid near what we were offering this summer. They´ve clearly got a player who doesn´t want to be there, that instantly drops his valuation in my eyes.

About time a club stood up to these upstarts. He signed a contract with them and they have held it to him. If this was the other way round we would be screaming from the rafters. Fair play to them
It's exactly what we did with Stones when Chelsea were sniffing around. Problem is, as the players contract runs down you are left with little option but to sell them, as we did 12 months later to City. Zaha will be on the move in 12 months time and, unless he has an unreal season, it will be for less money than we offered. He'll be 28 then, last chance for a big move imo.

He only has his agent to blame for not getting a move. What sort of idiot signs a long term deal with Palace and only takes their word they'll sell him if an 'acceptable offer' comes in but doesn't ask what that night be?!
He needed a release clause. Owners pull this stunt frequently.

This wasnt about the club standing up to the player. The chairman and the player had a verbal agreement if a high offer came in he could go. From all of the reports Zaha only signed the improved deal to protect his value for Palace. Parish will have has lost all respect from the players as pulling a stunt like that isnt going to go down well in the dressing room. I still think we will go back in for him in January just not sure that he will come if Chelsea are sniffing around.

If the owners promised he could leave this summer then they've clearly acted in very bad faith, and word will spread.

Assuming Iwobi was supposedly always a target - begs the question was he intendedcto replace Sig in the no10 role with Zaha out wide?

I wonder if there is any chance we'll go back in for him in Janaury like PSG did with Gueye?

If he wants in on our plans then he can just either down tools now, or do what Gana did and work his socks off. Only way I would do option 2 is with an agreement in writing from the owner that I am able to go to Everton in the next window.

Palace knew that without him they’re relegation fodder, hence the sky high valuation.

However, they’ve now hacked him off and even a small percentage drop off in his performances will cost them dearly.

I’ll be surprised if he’s in their squad for tomorrow.
