2023/24 Sean Dyche

Because he’s had one purple patch - I would even hesitate to even call it that if you look at the length of overall time he has been here - while his overall record has been as bad as any Lampard or Benitez served up
Well no, his overall record is clearly not as bad as Lampard or Benitez:

Would you like any other fachts with that Kev?

He got just about everything wrong today, formation, selection and failure to accept that he had made a mistake and change the formation until it was far too late. In his defence, the players looked very leggy, we have played a lot of games in a short time, Doucoure is an integral part of Dyche's planning and has missed a few games and the squad has very few options for rotation due to the lack of quality after the top 15 or so players.

He really needs to be more open to making early subs and changing things when it is obvious that his plans are not working. His brief is to keep us in the prem for the next 2 years and I think he will achieve that, as people have pointed out, without the points deduction, we'd be firmly mid table. I'm not a big fan of Dyche and, despite what some posters have said, I don't believe it gets much better with him than what we have seen so far. I did not think he is a long term solution, but, I don't see who we could bring in as things currently stand at the club, that would do any better.

Dyche substitutions shocking even last season. If he continues with this Keane lovin fans will turn against him very quickly as that clown has manager after manager sacked whilst he still.picks up a wage.

Keane is NOT A PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYER ITS THAT SIMPLE
A lot of fans had turned after Newcastle last season and yet he still picked Keane for the next game at Leicester, where he cost us 1 goal and gave away the penalty, had Pickford not saved we’d have gone down and dyche wouldn’t be here now, he got very lucky last season. But this is what you get with a safety first manager. His first 2 subs yesterday at 3-0 down Coleman and Gomes , tells everything we need to know about him and nothing will ever change

His limitations become clear in any scenario where he has to change a game.

His set up is usually good but when something goes against us, his old school approach of 'it'll sort itself' becomes a huge issue.
Once we concede first he has no clue how to change the game, spurs was a rare one and probably down to how spurs play, a high line and nearly every player going forward bar the 2 centre backs

We have lost spurs away (out played them), Man City and wolves away. Probably three losses for most mid table sides.
There is not another manager I would hire in our current situation to guarantee a better job.
If anyone know anyone better, willing to take the job then name them, you only have to look at the polls over the last decade to see that fans choices of manager would have likely been as bad as the boards.

That’s rubbish and it’s called ambition, villa got Emery and look at them, even Moyes got West Ham from relegation to finishing 6th then 7th. Even Bournemouth showed ambition Everton’s clueless board would have give Gary O’Neil a 5yr deal after keeping us up and long term maybe Bournemouth have made a mistake, but they thought we can get a better young manager and went and got him. Amd in 4 months he’s got them playing good football and in mid table.

We again hired a manager that has managed in the premier league, that’s our remit every time. 10yrs at Burnley with his only goal is to keep then in the league. And eventually he got sacked when he couldn’t

100% agree

Watkins 8 assists and 9 goals, more than our strikers together. Sort the tactics out, Relegation looking likely with this same old approach of defending and hoping for the best.

Im waiting for the name that would do better. Emery was offered a project that included investment.
We have no money. So what’s the best option here?
If you can’t see we are currently nearly a mid table side with a points deduction it’s a waste of time arguing.
Gary O’Neil is now doing well at Wolves, above Bournemouth infact, having spent less money. So not the best example.

Predictable pile on after worst performance of season. Complete 180 from the reaction after Sours game. This fan base, well some in here anyway, are deluded. Dyche isn't the second coming, or ever going to be like Pep but currently he's what we've got. The 4 wins prior to these defeats (Spurs/City) seem to be erased very quickly. Our squad is wafer thin, looking exhausted now as a result and we're on the managers case. Must be a habit that we force out the manager come the New Year ! With that in mind he's some distance ahead of Benitez and Lampard in stock and performance, but we'll get mardy cos we lost to an in form Wolves. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
