Today’s Football - 2024/25 Season

I'd have loved Atletico to win for once, but Real winning means the likes of Arsenal will be digested horribly in the next round. And that thought cheers me right up.

A new low for VAR that. Was it even a double kick? Was very hard to tell from the replays.
What a way to be knocked out against your city rivals.
Seen a load of replays. None show it.

Is this the ball with the microchip in it though? that would be the reason that his foot was close enough to move it that it believed it had been touched. I can’t see anything close to a foot on the ball though.

Yeah, seems plausible, but hard for the naked eye to discern.

Bottom line: his technique let him down. It shouldn't have been in question.

Tell you what, people say Liverpool are the devils club...

Imagine it was Everton - Liverpool in Atletico-Real place.

Lost a CL final, by conceding A 95th minute equaliser.

lost a CL final on Pens.

Lost a semi, the following season.

Lost a CL games by Alvarez slipping in a shoot out.

Feel for Atletí there.
Merseyside would have burned down had it been us 😂

To be honest, I no longer feel sorry for them. It happens too often. Alvarez slipping is lack of technique. Harsh, but that's what shoot-outs test: nerve and technique.

Fine margins, but they lose too regularly to Real when it matters for it to be bad luck.

Disagree,

Freak goal in IT to deny them in final

If a real player slips there is absolutely no way they check for a faint double hit. Cheated out of it tonight
