Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

McNeil only uses his left foot. This Fellows lad seems to be able to cross and shoot with both which already is a big difference. He also tops the assists list in Championship.

But I guess the issue is that his name isn't Tony Fellosio.

Well, no as i prefer to have young English talent signed.

He just doesnt look to me like hes going to be very good in the premier league.

Fellows is better than both

Hes not £10-20mil better

What do you base your opinion on? I have read opinions from several people who watch WBA more or less actively, even in the flesh.

And I'm pretty sure so does the club.

I'd rather get Lindstrom or even that donkey Harrison on loan for a season than spend £10-20mil on Fellows.

Unless hes got some hidden magic im missing then it makes no sense to me. Looks like a (worse) right sided McNeil.
I think there is potential there tbh. But we need real speed and dynamism- a way of scaring teams and getting at them. He ain't that.

For me, we need 3 wingers in the summer (obviously some of these can be loans), as we need serious depth in these areas. If we get some quality, or superb potential and Fellows is brought in to be a steady Eddie, tidy player, fine. The issue is that we will have to pay any lot of money for the lad and we need to do a lot to the squad.

Just watched a Derek Temple interview on You Tube called 'At Home with Derek Temple". Great interview. He said among
things that without pace a forward cannot be a top player, he was referring to Mick Meagan but it applies 100 per cent
to Fellows.
Incidentally he said that Bobby Collins was the best player he played with.

Watched a couple game Tim Fellows played in and was impressed. One was an FA Cup game and he played more RB / RWB think against Bournemouth and was decent. Type of player like Seamus Coleman that started his career as a RM but could end up as a very good RB

I see the point he's making, but there are a myriad of examples of wide players who made up for their lack of outright pace with their guile or delivery

I could live with Fellows if he was one of two signings in wide areas, the other being one with real pace

Think Fellows is actually left footed isn't he? Although clearly comfortable with his right too - not sure you see many left footed right backs, but I sort of get the point you're making about him.

I think the word ' forward 'is probably not the best way to describe this.
We could fill a page of top player 'forwards' , Latchford , Royle , Duncan etc just to name a few from this club that had no pace.

Wingers or nowadays attacking wide midfielders would be more appropriate.
We absolutely need pace in our wide players , I hope this is top of the agenda going into the summer.

Not sure which is his preferred foot but seemed to be fairly comfortable with both from what I saw. If Moyes was to bring him in I could see him playing RM and looking at him to take over at RB when Tarkowski is phased out for O'Brien

they can do another 4 abroad, so 8 overall.

I guess they are just continuing to stockpile players
Didn't they change the rules recently because of what Chelsea were doing? I think they had something like 20 players out on loan at one point. One of them was their longest serving player, who had never played a single minute for them.
