Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this fine day ,I hope all are well and had a great night .Off to the dental hygienist today for us both ,that means an early start then shopping and the computer shop . Have a great day all COYB
No news of an overheated iron in Cornwall so it seems they are not close enough or @Val P and Mr P are entralled with each other .Which is wonderful.

Morning everyone,

Well what a lovely couple of days we've just had and the temperature is set to hit 18° today!

Naturally enough I've been doing a lot of gardening - tidying up the courtyard and tropical garden and building a viewing platform for the pond as well as a last chance to move a couple of mature camellias. Needles to say my back is paying the price.

Anyway today the slave driver AKA Mrs J has planned for me to plant 12 new rhodis and 2 very large tree ferns.Good job the TT season has finished.

Also got to take mum down to the Dr to get her blood checked so it's a busy old day.

All this week we've been looking after SiLs dog Susie ( our cats called Susie too so it's a bit confusing) . She is so placid and lovely but for some reason Rosie the scoundrel doesn't like her so her have to keep them in separate rooms otherwise it's WW3.

SiL is on holiday in Austria, the photos look lovely , still loads of snow around. Must go , only went for a fleeting visit years ago.

Hate international breaks and no real Everton news either.

Well whatever you are up to have a lovely day everyone.

A busy day doesn’t do that justice jazzy. Hopefully all went well for your Mum and détente has reigned between Rosie and Susie.

Pleasant walk ahead of me now then settle in for the Ireland game. Not expecting much entertainment but a win would be nice.

Who are they playing AT?

Never interested in international football. CBA even when England are in the Euros or World Cup.

Bulgaria in a relegation playoff.

I would watch it anyway but with a new manager I’m hoping to see some tangible signs of improvement. I would be surprised if Jake O’Brien doesn’t start.
I'll give that a pass AT - good luck to Jake and all that ( hopefully he doesn't get injured) - but think I will continue listening to a bit of Hall and Oates and then watch The Apprentice.

Have a lovely evening.

PS thanks so much for asking about mum. Today was one of her better days at least until tea when I made her quiche and salad and she insisted that she'd never ever had quiche and asked why I hadn't put the salad in the oven.

Her little bouts of confusion must be difficult for both of you. All you can do is be patient I suppose and keep encouraging to engage with the GP.

Re the football, no start for O’Brien.

Well the day took a definite turn for the worst.

Remember mum had routine blood tests? Well at 9pm and. I'm on my 2nd glass of vino and get a call from the on call Dr who says mums hemoglobin is dangerously low and she needs an urgent blood transfusion.

So wake her up ( very , very confused) and ambulance rushes her to hospital.

A&E staff aren't convinced and running more tests.

I could be here for some time!
