2nd test Everton Under-21s V Bolton Wanderers B

It's why this active traveller 'solution' was always a nonsense.

LCC had no business okaying this stadium if they didn't insist on their being a feasible and workable plan for getting people safely to and from that stadium from day one of fixtures.
Other than Goodison and the Etihad ive never been to another PL ground, what are other grounds like to get to from within it's own city? Is BMD going to be the most difficult?

I'll bet it is.

I know it was a test event and most people only went to witness the new stadium and facilities with the game being secondary, but it was eerily quiet for 25k. Once the goal went in it did sound loud and then the attempt at a song sounded decent also
comms said some noise out of what they reckoned was 20k left when we finally scored.

There's a good chance a lot of people were very pished off with the travel in and so didn't fancy a hold up the same to go home. It's a Sunday afternoon after all.

Most large stadiums I've been to are quite difficult to get to and from.

Like even Wembley can take forever to get a train away from. Its just not straightforward to get large crowds to and from events. I remember it took me about 2 hours to get back to Lyon at a game in euro 16.

Making sure it's as safe as possible for BMD is obviously number 1 priority. Making it as quick and smooth as possible comes next but its probably going to take time to get it right.

Anytime you get a crowd of those kind of numbers, it's always a nightmare. What it shouldn't be is unsafe, they need to limit the numbers of people on the platform. Getting on or off.

Just on my way home, I have to use a walking stick so I left just after half time.
I have plenty to say about the stadium and the transport etc.
Have to say guys, we have problems looming large once we get serious.
The concourse in the south stand is too narrow, once people stop for a chat or eat their pie etc, nothing moves.
I saw one family setting up a picnic around one of the bollards, coats on the floor, food and drink and sitting on their coats.
I jumped the 12.00 train from Ormskirk and by the rime we got to Maghull there was a crush, far too many on the train.
I know that these test events are to highlight the problems, but its Everton and Liverpool CC we are talking about here.
