1899: The foundation stone of the church was laid in by the first Bishop of Liverpool, Bishop Charles Ryle.

1901: The Church was consecrated.

1906: The Memorial Chapel was dedicated

1907: The St Luke’s Mothers’ Union was formed

1908: The foundation stone for the Parish Hall was laid

1912 The completion of the Parish Hall.


something that always makes me chuckle when I do the weather check on bbc website is the location, and its repeated on the church website

I FOUND MY THRILL... in Walton on the Hill !!


...there's a print of the ground from 1892 a few pages back and I pointed out there can't be many images without the church. This is @Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian response.

.....so Goodison Rd is on the left of the picture. Not sure when the Church was built but there can't be many views of that corner of the ground without it on.
Until I read this I assumed Goodison Road was on the right.
