Talent Damo, its all about the talent pool.

My experience with non exec directors.

We've generally assigned them to 'special projects'.

To sort this or that out. Or get the company ready for something or other.

Could see this appointment being related to a significant special project.

Too big for the current directors alone to handle.

That's an unusual use of non-execs, sounds more like the role you would offer external consultants to be honest.

We are filling the board room with people who sit at a table and demand respect.

Welcome to the future, enjoy the ride.

Its not gonna be done overnight and there will be some bumps in the road, but from things I read, things I hear, things I assume, Everton is going places.

All hail The Mosh.

I'd better update my linkedin profile.

If the company is going through extraordinary change.

Or if there is significant strategic direction needed to be brought in at board level.

But considered business critical.

It's not day to day stuff.

But the CEO can generally ask the NE director to be his eyes and ears.

Have seen this very frequently on venture capital investment companies.
