"Mangala made his debut in City's fifth match of the Premier League season, a 1–1 home draw against Chelsea on 21 September. Lining up alongside captain Vincent Kompany, his performance was described by BBC Sport as "colossal". Six days later, an own goal and concession of a penalty by Mangala caused City to lose a 2–0 lead against Hull City, although they eventually triumphed 4–2. Despite media criticism, manager Manuel Pellegrini said "we continue to trust him because he is a very good player who had very bad luck". On 30 November, Mangala was sent off for two yellow cards in City's 3–0 win away to Southampton." From Wikipedia

Are we getting the collossus or the clown?

2014; "In a tetchy game of six bookings, defender Eliaquim Mangala was fortunate to escape with just a yellow card on his return from suspension after an ugly high kick on Samuel Eto'o left Everton's Cameroon forward writhing in agony."

Mangala is rash and impulsive, in other words an absolute liability. Two of his fouls in this game deserved a red card.

He has not been able to claim a regular first team place at City - they have still had to go out and buy Otamendi and Stones.

City are run away leaders of the league to be fair.

Mangala was very highly rated a few years back. He is deffo worth taking a chance on as he has all the attributes needed.

For all of our ragging on him, Martina hasn't actually been that bad. I don't know if a centre half wedged into a LB position would do any better than a RB doing the same

I am going to disagree with you twice in one day! He has been so bad it is quite astonishing, we can't let last night and 2 other games cover up the fact that he has been woefull, for a premier league footballer, to be so bad because he is "playing on the other side of the pitch" is amazing. The gaps he leaves, his wayward passing and his inability to tackle are something to behold.

You've seen nothing yet...

I love this
