gary neville gets plenty of stick in various quarters but at least he had to the decency to retire mid season when it was clear he was done instead of milking the club he loved

I mean, I’d agree, but the ineptitude of the DOF, means we’ve literally got JohnJoe kenny as the only option, which is somehow worse.

The reality is, Coleman should have been out 4-5 years ago, but we as a club failed to replace him.

True, that was a club at the time with high standards and he was honest enough to know he wasn’t hitting those standards and was letting his teammates down.

We have no standards and allow serial failures to come back season after season. When Coleman looks around at everyone else and the acceptance of mediocrity from the club, why would he think that he’s no longer hitting the standard, particularly when compared to those around him.

It’s on the club, the whole approach. His situation simply wouldn’t happen at a serious club with standards, let alone giving him a new two year deal.

Weeks after come back from that break was evident he was never going to be the player he was... He has the odd good match here and there and that somehow convinces many he is the player he once was.

It's an Everton trait unfortunately. Hold onto the player until the fans eventually turn against him. He was done years ago and now, he's gone from loved by all, to costing us and having the fans on his back (rightfully). We've done it with too many players. His attitude stinks this season too.

Give the captains armband to Allan immediately.

I love it when he gets the ball and gets legged by the opposition running towards our own goal almost every game.

Great player in his day arguably the best value for money in the PL era but he's done and has been for years.
