I'm guessing Lampard wanted the Arteta money thrown in, and that has been the stumbling block. Nobody can find it and Bill is saying nothing.

If Big Dunc doesn’t get the job surely that must be him finished with the club. Can’t see how he can take another knock back from those who frequently tell him how important he is to the club. Hopefully he will get a manager’s job somewhere else and he will be ready to take over following the failure or the moving up of our next manager.

Ok. So we are left with Lampard over Rooney.

Given the circumstances, and the money he had, I think Rooney has done a better job than Lampard. I also think, overall Lampard failed at Derby. So that's my rationale anyway.
