For me England looked a good team when they were chasing the game, they looked quite ordinary when the game was tied and France were comfortably on top for those spells

Wasn’t willing enough to change it after the equaliser, which is the exact same story as the final against Italy too

That's fair. A lot of the game was France sitting off since they were ahead.

It's a tough one. Maybe it is time for fresh ideas but I also think you can't say Southgate was all bad.

First time I can remember England being the better side against a top top team in a knockout match, progress compared to some of the games in the past but, as usual, we find a way to lose.

What's most annoying is the only thing left to wait for is Everton playing again, oh boy, could be a bumpy new year.
