Ronald Koeman discussion

Never wanted Koeman from the start but was pleasantly surprised at the results at first and his refreshing attitude.
Not too happy with him recently, the way he just dismissed Niasse, whether he is good enough or not the way he was treated with the lockers and saying no matter what he does he will never get a chance, was disappointing. His Lukaku speech was just naive and ill timed, every International break it seems Lukaku has someone lined up to speak about him leaving. Koeman should certainly should be given the time and windows to get the team he wants and to play the style he wants.

Maybe, but we've successfully managed to keep him for the last 2 windows. I suspect RK is bigging him up to drive up any potential transfer fee. Unfortunately for RK, he jumped aboard the Goodison train a bit too late where Lukaku is concerned. He already committed another "one more season" to RK's tenure.

Furthermore, has RK managed to stay in a job longer than 2 seasons? I've heard that's usually his time frame whilst waiting for the holy grail (Barca)? If so, it is probably why he isn't too concerned.
Can't agree mate

Niasse really? think he took one look and realised what a joke martinez left us with

Can't wait for the game to come this weekend, if nothing else it will koeman talking about Everton. Don't get me wrong I was delighted with the appointment of koeman and still think he will get us European football, however I can't fail not to be annoyed when a kopite mate of mine has just texted me "Well done agent Koeman!" regarding his lukaku comments and talking up the RS title chances. If Martinez had said this (and I was one of his biggest critics) he would have been lynched. Is anyone else worrying that although I rate koeman as a manager I don't think that he 'gets' what being an Everton manager entails. By all means Ronald speak honestly about matters regarding our club (breath of fresh air after Martinez) but I'm sorry you've let yourself down and the fanbase with your comments this week.

His press conferences hammer it home: he has a complete disinterest in talking about Everton.

I love when people slate him for having realistic expectations for this year, but brown shoes promised an impossible dream and everyone loved it

The reality is koeman knows we aren't champions league caliber, but I genuinely believe he wants to get us there. That takes his players and better overall quality.

He gets us to 7th this year that'll be a great base on which t build and act as a springboard t entice better players to come here

Very pragmatic. And honest. Once that happens the pressure will be moshiri to deliver the money

I think that's harsh mate. I think his general demeanour is very passive and due to English being not as good as other managers he can come across rather passionless . It is more the nature of his comments this week, as opposed to his press conferences whereby I think he talks honestly about his opinions Everton related, that has concerned me.

Nah, his actions back it up. Signed up for Everton then went off on holiday again; does short hours at FF; states he prefers not to live in the city; talks us down in the media.

Not an Everton man at all. Same as the owner of this club, a Sam Hammam type who's tone befits a small London club.

We can do better than the pair of these.

A work colleague of mine met him at a restaurant in Liverpool a couple of weeks ago, he was apparently sound and was quite happy to talk about Everton however he did also say that he (Koeman) got smashed.

Koeman knows this and Koeman knows that. The fellers achieved the square root of f.a. in footy management. He knows nothing.
